we are Ron and Justine Muir and we own Doghead Brewing.
Why Doghead?
Well, if you look at a map of the UK, in particular Scotland, on the east coast you’ll see what looks like a dog’s head… that’s where we are based – fife!
Where did it start?
We started homebrewing around 2010, starting like everyone with a small brew in the bag, extract style kit. Well, the results were good enough for us to get hooked and we soon moved on to much more advanced extract brewing before getting into all grain.
Lets go commercial
Like all homebrewers, we had the dream of becoming a commercial brewery so based out of our barn on our smallholding in Montrave, Fife, that’s what we did! Just on a really small scale. But that’s what makes us “One HEC* of a brewery”. (*hectolitre)
